Gov Car Auctions

by ryno33 on 2006-08-23

I am sick of car payments, at least one that that determines every move you make when it comes to money. I used to have a toyota tacoma and I had to pay $296.15 car payment and $210 insurance payment on the 21st of every month. That's $506.15 every month I never had any money! Don't get me wrong I loved that truck, but I felt like I was paying for a ferrari. The truck didn't even have electric locks and windows and it was only a four cyclinder.

My Dad always told me when I was growing up that you are either "car rich and house poor" and ain't that the honest truth. I couldn't afford to move out of my parents place until I was twenty-four years old. Do you know what is like being with your parents at that age? No privacy, no girls, I was in my own little financial hell!

Things changed obviously and I got out after the 5 year payment plan was up. Five years of that! I almost went crazy!

I only wish I knew the information that I am about to tell you. If I could go back I would have done it in a heartbeat! The trick is don't get wrapped up in a five year plan like me, GO TO AN AUCTION! Even after I sold my truck and bought a Jeep Cheeroke for $3000(that I thought I got a killer deal on when I found out I could of got it for half that) I didn't know about going to government car auctions. I wasted some much money that if I went back I would probably own my own condo by now.

At car auctions the price is 90% off of retail value. 90%, you can't deny that is awesome. Bidding at these events start at only $100 bucks, my sister got a 2004 Beetle for $5000! That's how I found out this. She told me and rubs it in every chance she gets!

I beg you for your own good go to one of these auctions and stop paying those slimey dealerships, be independent and save tons of money. If you want a good resource for when and where these auctions take place Click Here!
