Immerse Yourself
by Roderick Armstrong on 2007-09-24Pay close attention to the words you read here. I promise you that if you follow these instructions that you can experience dramatic personal change in a very short period of time. How do I know this? Because it worked for me with very little effort at all. I'm not a mental expert, I just know how my mind works and I sense that my mind operates in a similar manner to yours.
Saturate your mind with positive images, attitudes and pictures. Discriminate against all negative thoughts that can deflect you from your goal. Do not allow negative input to take root. The Apostle Paul once said, "take every thought captive and make it obedient" You must be extremely careful about the thoughts that you allow to begin to take root in the fertile soil of your mind.
I can not express to you just how critical it is to guard your mind very carefully. We already receive enough negative inputs on a daily basis without generating and meditating on our own negative thoughts. Your mind is fertile ground. You have to tend it like a loving gardener who is planting seedlings. It is going to return whatever you plant in it.
Here are some books for starters that I highly recommend you read: 1. The Bible. Even if you're not a "believer", you should selfishly read it for the timeless success principles that is presents. 2. Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. This is an excellent starting point. 3. The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. 4. The Success System that Never Fails by W. Clement Stone
This list could go on and on and on. There are thousands of books that would be beneficial to you. These four are some excellent starting points.
You absolutely must treat your mind like a very delicate flower. Your subconscious will believe and act upon any suggestion you allow it to receive. You are driven by the subconscious mind whether you like it or not. Try these disciplines for yourself...I KNOW they work. Every time.
