Top Edm Dj's Of 2006:

by Jared Izwar on 2007-09-22

For the second year in a row, German born Paul Van Dyk has been nominated number one DJ in the world, beating out Armin Van Burren and Tiesto by only a slim margin.

Tiesto fans are running rampid at the outrage that their almighty God did not make number one spot, which would have made it his 4th time there. Actually, Tiesto did not only fail to meet number one, he fell short of the number two spot resting comfortably at three. In my opinion I don't think Tiesto ever should have been number one compared to the amazing talent that exists in the DJ world. Paul Van Dyk secured his number one spot this year again after having an amazing and eventfull 2006.

Paul Van Dyk released his CD titled "Politics Of Dancing 2," which was full of hard climaxes and breaks. With Paul Van Dyk at number 1 spot, trance fans definitely don't have to worry about house creeping up any time soon.

After 3 years of being at the number three spot, Armin Van Burren finally broke his spell and moved to number two beating out the almighty Tiesto. Armin had a busy year releasing his album "Shivers" which sent shockwaves in the trance world. Armin has won various awards such as Best Radio Show and Best Compilation for A State of Trance 2004. It is no mystery why Armin has grown so fast in the past couple years; his hard work and dedication to performing live is almost unmatched in the industry along with his passion. "This is just what I want," says Armin. "It’s not love for music, it’s a passion, and it goes beyond liking, and beyond a hobby, it’s about a way of living. Music is essential for my life”.
