If you’re like me, then you always try to be different from others, especially when it comes to celebrating special occasions. You always try to look for unique gifts and take your dates out on unusual places and activities. So what have you planned for Valentine’s Day? Need a few more ideas to help spice up that special occasion? Well, fear not, because that’s where we come in. We’re going to give you some ideas that could turn your Valentine’s Day from boring to blooming.
Take her out for dinner. And by that, we mean out of town! Yes, why not take your date out of town, somewhere that both of you haven’t gone to before? If you live in the big city, take her out to dinner at a rustic inn. If you live in a small village on the outskirts of the city, give your girl a taste of big city life by having dinner at a classy restaurant, then have drinks or go dancing at a posh nightclub! If you can afford it, then by all means go for it.
Have a party. Everywhere you go, you see couples paired up and celebrating this special day all by themselves. Do it differently; have a potluck party! Make Valentine’s Day a feast. Each house could bring their favourite dish and bring it to the party. Even better, if you can get permission, why not make it a street party? Who says Valentine’s Day has to be celebrated quietly and in private? You’ll have a blast with the whole neighbourhood.
Get a massage. But make it a couples massage. Now, you may ask, “Just what is this couples massage that he’s talking about? Well, it’s one of the hottest services available now at the bigger and better spas. Two people are massaged in the same room, at the same time, by two different therapists. Some spas even have elaborate amenities for couples with fireplaces, pedicure chairs, steam showers and lounging beds where you can relax together after your treatments. And take note: this is a great way to introduce men to massage, since some men are a bit apprehensive about being nude during a massage.
Share your love. You’ve always said that you’ve got love enough for everybody, right? Well, now’s the time to prove it. Prepare little red hearts with short love notes written on them, and then go visit a retirement home, nursing home or hospital. Just seeing the happy smiles that you get from the people when they receive your little Valentine’s Day cards will make it all worthwhile, believe me. And who knows, after this your date will really be impressed with you that you’ll receive your own personal reward from her that could put you in the hospital too, if you’re lucky.
Write a love poem. Love poems are big, and I mean BIG, on Valentine’s Day. And don’t worry if you don’t know a limerick from a sonnet. Try browsing the Internet and you’ll find a great bunch of romantic websites with an abundance of love poems that you can freely use. Try these websites, for example:
